Terms of Service
Plain English, because you should actually read it. Effective 3 July 2026.
What Papr is
Papr is a writing workspace for school assignments. It decodes your task sheet, finds real sources, builds a plan, checks your draft against the marking criteria, and coaches you. You write every word of your assignment. Papr's AI never writes your essay, and it is built not to.
Your account
You need an account to save work. Keep your password to yourself and give us accurate details. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian for permission before creating an account and before starting a paid plan; these terms apply to them too.
The trial and paying
- The free trial runs for 3 days with a card saved up front. Nothing is charged during the trial.
- One free trial per account and per card. If a card has already been used for a trial, a new subscription with that card starts billing the same day instead of getting a second trial.
- Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing at all.
- If you do not cancel, your plan starts automatically at the end of the trial: A$12.99 per month, or A$34.99 every 3 months if you picked quarterly. Plans renew automatically until cancelled.
- When a payment is charged, Stripe emails you a receipt, so you always know when billing has started.
- Cancel any time from Profile, Manage billing (Stripe's secure portal), or by emailing us. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Prices are in Australian dollars and may change; we will tell you before a change affects a renewal.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
Refunds
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If Papr is broken in a way we cannot fix, you are entitled to the remedies the law provides. Beyond that, the trial is your test window: we do not routinely refund partial billing periods, but if you think something is unfair, email us and a human will look at it.
Schoolwork and integrity
Papr does the busywork; the thinking and the writing are yours. You are responsible for following your school's academic integrity rules, and for what you submit. Do not use Papr to pass off work that is not yours; it does not write prose for you, and asking it to will not work.
Fair use
AI features have daily limits per account, sized so that a full day of real schoolwork fits comfortably. Do not script, scrape, resell, probe, or overload the service, and do not use it to store or share anything unlawful. We can suspend accounts that abuse the service or other people.
Your work is yours
You own everything you write and upload. We claim no rights over your assignments. We host and process your content only to run the features you use, including sharing a draft when you create a share link.
The service
We work hard to keep Papr fast and available, but no online service is perfect: sometimes an AI provider is overloaded or something breaks. To the extent the law allows, Papr is provided as-is and our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months. Your Australian Consumer Law guarantees are never excluded.
Changes and contact
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will post the change here with a new effective date. Papr (ABN 56 891 607 339) is operated from Queensland, Australia, and these terms are governed by Queensland law.
