Papr: Papr

Privacy Policy

Short version: your schoolwork is yours. No ads, no selling data, and your drafts never train AI models. Effective 3 July 2026.

What we collect

  • Account details: your email, plus an optional display name, username and avatar. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email from Google.
  • Your work: task sheets you upload, decoded briefs, drafts, plans, notes, saved sources, and comments on shared drafts. This is the product; storing it is the point.
  • Usage events: which features get used and basic technical logs (like rate-limit counters that stop abuse). We use these to fix and improve Papr.
  • Payment status: whether your account has an active trial or plan. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store your card number.

How the AI works with your text

When you use an AI feature (decoding a sheet, checking a draft, asking the Helper), the relevant text is sent to our AI providers (Groq, with backups such as OpenRouter and Google) only to generate that response, over their business APIs. Your drafts and task sheets are never used to train AI models, by us or through those APIs. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone, and there are no ads.

Where it lives

Your account and work are stored with Supabase (our database provider), encrypted in transit and at rest. Payments are handled by Stripe. Supabase, Stripe and our AI providers are based overseas, mainly in the United States, so your data is stored and processed outside Australia. We only use established providers that handle data on our behalf under their own security obligations.

Sharing you control

Your work is private by default. If you create a share link, anyone with that link can read that one draft, and friends must sign in before leaving comments so you know who said what. You can stop sharing at any time, which kills the link.

Cookies

Papr uses login-session cookies so you stay signed in. If you came to Papr from one of our ads, we use measurement tools such as the Meta pixel to see whether that ad worked; these can set cookies and share limited events (for example that you visited or started a trial) with the ad platform. We never sell your data, and there are no ads inside Papr.

Under 18

Papr is built for school students, so we keep collection to the minimum the product needs. If you are under 18, use Papr with a parent or guardian's permission. Parents can email us at any time to ask what is stored for their child's account or to have it deleted.

Your choices

  • Export: download your assignments as Word documents from the app whenever you like.
  • Delete: delete your account and all its data yourself, any time, from your profile. Or email us and we will do it.
  • Ask: email us to see what we hold about you.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will post the change here with a new effective date. Papr (ABN 56 891 607 339) operates from Queensland, Australia.
